This Privacy Policy explains how Tall Guy Software (“we”, “us”), operating RacePoint at racepoint.ca, collects and uses personal information. We follow Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, where it applies, similar provincial privacy laws.

What we collect

Contact and quote requests. If you email us, call us, or submit a quote request (including through Google Forms), we receive the information you choose to send — typically your name, email address, phone number, organization, and details about your event.
Website analytics (optional). If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics (GA4) collects usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device/browser type, and a cookie-based client ID. Analytics does not load unless you accept.
Technical logs. Our web host may automatically record standard server logs (for example IP address, date/time, and requested URL) for security and reliability.

We do not sell personal information. We do not operate an account login on this marketing site.

To deliver and support RacePoint map services when you become a customer
To understand how the marketing site is used (only if you accept analytics)
To keep the site secure and working

Cookies and tracking

This marketing site does not require cookies to browse product information. If you accept analytics, Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga) to measure traffic. You can decline on first visit, or clear site data in your browser and revisit to choose again. Essential hosting/security logs are not controlled by that banner.

We do not use advertising pixels or remarketing tags on this site.

Who we share information with

Service providers that help us run the site or forms (for example our web host, and Google for Forms and, if accepted, Analytics). They may process data in or outside Canada, including the United States, under their own terms and safeguards.
Legal requirements if we are required by law to disclose information.

Retention

We keep inquiry and customer correspondence as long as needed to respond, deliver services, and meet ordinary business or legal record needs, then delete or anonymize it when it is no longer required. Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics settings and Google’s retention controls.

Your choices and rights

Subject to PIPEDA and applicable law, you may ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you, or withdraw consent where we rely on consent (for example by declining analytics). Email craig@racepoint.ca. You may also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to a small software business. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Children

This marketing site is aimed at event organizers and businesses, not children.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site after an update means the revised policy applies to new collection going forward.
