RacePoint maps are built for two audiences: participants on the public map, and your race operations team in the Operations Centre.
The public map shows routes, water stations, closures and other information runners and residents need. The Operations Centre is a staff-only view of the same event. It keeps tactical layers — extra zones, staff markers, and live GPS — off the public map while giving command a complete picture of the course.
Your operations team opens a private Operations Centre link for the event. That view can display additional zones, markers and tactical information that never appear for the public: medical coverage areas, sweep sectors, staff parking, radio points, and other layers you use to run a safe event.
One map. Two audiences. Participants stay informed. Your Operations Centre sees everything needed to manage the day.
Plot vehicles, lead bicycles, medical teams and other assets as live icons on the Ops Centre map. Positions update in real time so command staff can see who is where — without radioing for a location check.
Typical units include command vehicles, lead and trail bicycles, medical, motorcycle marshals, and sweep. Each device is shown as a labelled icon on the operations map only. Participants never see this overlay.
RacePoint plots whatever GPS units you put on course. Staff get a private Operations Centre link. Devices assigned to that event appear as live icons and move as positions come in.
You do not need one brand of hardware. RacePoint accepts location reports from phones and from dedicated GPS trackers — the same range of devices used in fleet and asset tracking, covering more than 2,000 models and 200-plus communication protocols.
You keep using the same RacePoint map your public already knows. The Operations Centre simply adds the staff layers and live GPS on top.
Running a parade, festival, concert, or city closure instead of a race? The same staff map and live GPS are at StreetOps.
